Itinerary

Board your overnight flight to Istanbul and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Merhaba! Arrive in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers at a welcome mixer, and toast to the journey ahead.
Discover Istanbul’s rich history spanning two continents. Visit the Hagia Sophia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with centuries of layered history. Wander through Sultanahmet Square, then explore the iconic Blue Mosque and descend beneath the city to the atmospheric Cistern Basilica.
Enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your guided tour.
Fly to Izmir and drive along the Aegean coast to the historic Ephesus Region. Check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner with your group.
Step back in time at the ancient city of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, the Basilica of St. John, and the House of the Virgin Mary. The afternoon is free to relax or join an optional evening at a traditional meyhane.
Travel inland to the “cotton castle” of Pamukkale, famous for its sparkling white terraces and turquoise pools. Continue to the Turkish Lakes Region and enjoy dinner at your hotel.
Venture to the ancient city of Sagalassos in the Taurus Mountains. Explore the Upper Agora, Antonine Nymphaeum, Roman theater, and other historic ruins. Enjoy an included lunch in nearby Aglasun. Optional excursion: stroll the fragrant lavender fields of Isparta (July–August only). Return to your hotel for dinner.
Stop at the lakeside town of Egirdir to see its castle, madrasa, and local sights. Sample Turkish delights before continuing to Cappadocia. Check in and enjoy an included dinner with your group.
Explore the Göreme Open-Air Museum and marvel at the fairy chimneys and rock-hewn churches. Visit a cave village and the pottery town of Avanos. Optional sunrise hot-air balloon ride over Cappadocia offers breathtaking views.
Fly back to Istanbul. Enjoy a free afternoon—perhaps wander the Grand Bazaar with its thousands of shops. In the evening, cruise the Bosphorus Strait and see Ottoman palaces and fortresses before enjoying a farewell dinner with your group.
Relax in your dayroom before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
