Itinerary

Welcome to Mexico. Arrive in the city of Oaxaca late in the evening and transfer to your hotel. Time to rest.
Set at the foothills of the Sierra Madre, Oaxaca is one of Mexico’s most beautiful cities. Today, discover this UNESCO World Heritage–listed historic center.
Walk around Plaza de la Constitución and admire the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption. Visit the Church of Santo Domingo, a former Dominican monastery, and stroll along the pedestrian Macedonio Alcalá Street. Learn about traditional chocolate-making at a local factory and explore the Benito Juárez and 20 de Noviembre markets.
In the afternoon, travel to the town of San Bartolo for a cultural experience at a local family’s home, where you’ll learn about regional traditions and observe the preparation of traditional dishes. End the day with a visit to a black clay pottery workshop, famous for its traditional craftsmanship.
Enjoy a free morning in Oaxaca or join an optional excursion.
In the afternoon, visit Teotitlán del Valle, a village renowned for its Zapotec textiles. Meet local artisans and learn how natural dyes, wool, and traditional looms are used to create rugs and garments.
Continue on to an artisanal mezcal distillery to learn about the production process, from agave cultivation to distillation. Enjoy a free evening in Oaxaca.
Travel to Puebla. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour of this elegant colonial city. Stroll through the main square, admire fountains and gardens, and see the Municipal Hall and the Cathedral.
Discover the “City of Angels” on a guided tour. Visit Mercado Carmen Serdán and learn more about Puebla’s traditions and daily life. Enjoy free time in Puebla or join an optional excursion to Cholula.
Transfer to Mexico City. Upon arrival, explore the canals of Xochimilco aboard a brightly colored trajinera, floating through the ancient waterways of pre-Hispanic origin while enjoying the festive atmosphere and traditional music.
Enjoy a free evening in the city.
Set out on a guided tour of Mexico City’s UNESCO-listed historic center. Pass through Alameda Central Park and the Palace of Fine Arts, walk across the Zócalo, and visit the National Palace to admire Diego Rivera’s murals. See the Metropolitan Cathedral and Templo Mayor.
Enjoy free time in the afternoon or join an optional excursion to Coyoacán and the Frida Kahlo Museum.
Enjoy a full free day to continue exploring the capital or join an optional excursion, such as a visit to Teotihuacán and the Basilica of Guadalupe. In the evening, gather with the group for a farewell get-together.
Transfer to the airport for your return flight or begin the extension to the Yucatán Peninsula.
