Itinerary

Arrival in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic and the oldest European-founded city in the Americas. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You may choose to relax or explore nearby streets and cafés.
Discover the historic heart of Santo Domingo on a guided sightseeing tour. Visit Los Tres Ojos, a series of underground limestone lakes set within a natural park. Continue to the Colonial Zone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will enjoy a walking tour through cobblestone streets lined with 16th-century buildings.
See the Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, the oldest cathedral in the New World, followed by visits to the Ozama Fortress and the Alcázar de Colón, once home to Christopher Columbus’ family.The afternoon is free before gathering for a welcome dinner with your group.
Travel into the mountains of the Cordillera Central to reach Jarabacoa, known for its fresh climate and lush landscapes. Stop at an environmental institute to learn about conservation and sustainable forestry practices. After an included lunch, continue to your hotel and enjoy dinner in the evening.
Visit a local coffee plantation and learn about the cultivation and roasting process, followed by a tasting of Dominican coffee. Later, hike to the Baiguate Waterfall, where you can relax, take photos, or swim in the natural pool. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Dominican dance class, learning basic steps of merengue and bachata.
Descend from the mountains toward the North Coast, stopping in Moca for a ceramics workshop where you will create a traditional faceless doll. Continue to Santiago de los Caballeros to visit a cigar factory and learn about the Dominican cigar-making tradition. Arrive at your North Coast hotel in the late afternoon.
Enjoy a full day at leisure. Relax on the beach or join an optional snorkeling excursion to explore coral reefs and turquoise waters.
Visit Puerto Plata and explore the Dominican Amber Museum, home to rare fossilized specimens. Continue to the House of Rum for a guided tasting of locally produced rums.
In the evening, celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner.
After breakfast, transfer to Santiago Airport for your return flight home.
